🌍 Cymru spotlight on South Sudan – lunchtime webinar

A conversation with James Wani, Christian Aid South Sudan

📅 Tuesday 22 September at 1pm

In this year’s Harvest Appeal we’re putting a spotlight on communities in South Sudan, a country that continues to experience conflict, displacement, food insecurity and the impacts of the climate crisis. Over 7 million people – half of the population – are facing extreme hunger and high rates of acute malnutrition, and yet it rarely reaches our headlines.

Join us to hear directly from James about:

  • The world’s worst humanitarian crisis and how our local partners are responding.

  • The impact of the climate crisis and El Niño on families and the projects that are bringing hope.

  • How communities in South Sudan are hosting and welcoming refugees from Sudan.

  • The role of young people, faith leaders and faith-based partners like the South Sudan Council of Churches in peacebuilding and reconciliation.

  • How Christian Aid’s local partners are helping people build resilience, respond to emergencies and create sustainable change.
