Churches

Since November 2013, Tegid & Llanfor United Church is one of seven churches which form the Thomas Charles Pastorate, Bala.

Located halfway between Llanrwst and Conwy, Eglwys Bach chapel has some 100 members and is under the care of Reverend Gerwyn Roberts. We have Children's club after school on Fridays every fortnight during the school term only and hold Chapel Society (once a month).

This is the only chapel in Cwm Cynllwyd, which can be found south of Llanuwchllyn in Meirionnydd. Services are held at various times on Sunday.

Rural church in an agricultural area, in the small village community of Parc near Bala, Meirionnydd. We have a small Sunday school at 10:00am.

Rhyduchaf is located about a mile northwest of Bala and has over 40 members. We hold The pastor's union service and an Easter Monday Eisteddfod.

Llidiardau chapel is located near Tryweryn Lake and is open for worship once a month.

Cwmtirmynach is around 4 miles north of Bala, Gwynedd and the members meet for weekly worship.

Small Welsh-speaking church in Gwyddelwern, 2 miles north of Corwen. The old chapel was demolished at the end of 2008 and the vestry, where services are now held, was renovated. The newly-refurbished vestry was reopened on Easter Sunday, 2009.

Maes yr Odyn has over 40 members and holds weekly worship.

Welsh-speaking church in the village of Cerrigydrudion. Services are held every Sunday and there are Sunday schools for children, young people and adults. The Society meets during the winter and the walking club during the summer.

Capel Cefnbrith holds a service every Sunday morning or afternoon and a Sunday school for adults. The Cultural Society meets once a month between October and March and there are pastorate services on special occasions. Thanksgiving Festival is held on a Sunday in October.

Small rural chapel with around 60 members. We have turned the old chapel house into a community centre.

Peniel, which dates back to 1910, stands in a stunning location. It is built in the Gothic style and is listed by CADW (grade 2) as a building of special importance. There are 31 enthusiastic and active members. A service is held at 11:15am every Sunday and everyone is welcome to join us. 'Friends of Peniel' was established in 2005 with a view to bringing the chapel and the community closer together. This has been successful and we have raised money towards local good causes.

Capel Hebron is located at the top end of Old Colwyn and has some 160 adult members and 40 children. The Sunday school is lively and busy and starts at 10 in the morning on the first Sunday of the month. Hebron is the only chapel wich a Sunday school in the area, so children from other denominations join us and support all the activities. A weekly Bible class is held on Monday morning. The Sisters meet regularly throughout the winter and have a varied programme, and the church is also part of Colwyn District and Churches' Society.

Eglwys Unedig Gymraeg Llandudno (Llandudno United Welsh Church) is made up of four denominations: Presbyterians, Welsh Independents, Methodists and Baptists, but everyone still belongs to their different denominations. In the year 2000, we all came together in Seilo's buildings (Presbyterian) and all the United Church's activities are held there. Our Sunday school meets monthly at 10.30 in the morning and we hold Llandudno and District Welsh Association (October - March).

Seion is a large chapel in Llanrwst town centre. It is under the care of Reverend Gerwyn Roberts and holds a service every Sunday morning.

Opened in 2008, Capel y Rhos is one of the newest buildings of the Presbyterian Church of Wales. It came to be by merging three existing congregations. You are warmly welcome to join us, and more details can be found on the chapel’s website.

Seion is located in the attractive little village of Ro-wen in Dyffryn Conwy. It was built in 1841 on the site of the old Seion chapel (1819). The building houses a historical exhibition which is open throughout the year. Seion is one of the biggest chapels in the area.

Bryn Mawr stands at the centre of Betws y Coed. Its members meet for worship at 10am every Sunday. Reverend Gerwyn Roberts is the minister.

Moreia stands next to the A470 trunk road in the small village of Dolwyddelan, at the heart of Snowdonia National Park. It is part of Reverend Gerwyn Roberts' pastorate.

Capel Garmon is located in a rural area near Betws y Coed, Conwy. Seion has some 20 members and is part of Reverend Owain Idwal Davies (A)' pastorate.

Penmachno United Church is part of Reverend Gerwyn Roberts' pastorate and holds a service at 5pm on Sundays. Penmachno is an important place in the history of Welsh Christianity, being the home of Bishop William Morgan (1545-1604), who lived at T? Mawr, Wybrnant. He was the first to translate the Bible in its entirety into Welsh.

The members of Seion meet for worship in the parish church at 5pm on Sundays. Reverend Owain Idwal Davies is the minister.

The small village of Padog is located on the A5, south of Betws y Coed. Its Welsh-speaking church is part of Reverend Owain Idwal Davies' pastorate.

Capel y Cwm is located in Llangernyw village and is part of Reverend Owain Idwal Davies' pastorate. Services are held on Sunday mornings or afternoons. Sunday school for adults at 10:00am and 2:00pm and 'Clwb Cic' in the hall.

There is a service every Sunday and a Christian Youth Club (CIC) on one Sunday afternoon a month. There is a Sunday school for children and adults during the school term.
