Safeguarding training is essential for everyone who works directly with children, youth and vulnerable adults and also those who are responsible for the work e.g. trustees and elders. The Interdenominational Safeguarding Panel facilitates safeguarding training for the Presbyterian Church Wales. The training is based on our safeguarding policies and aims to help workers and volunteers understand these guidelines and know what to do if they are concerned about an individual or situation. The Panel offers three types of safeguarding training:
1. LEVEL 1 SESSIONS are suitable for volunteers (2 hours)
2. LEVEL 2 SESSIONS are for ministers, leaders and staff (6 hours) 3. LOCAL CHURCH SAFEGUARDING COORDINATOR TRAINING for those responsible for safeguarding matters in the local church. https://panel.cymru/en/training
It is recommended that all workers and volunteers also complete the Socal Care Wales Group A safeguarding e-learning session
