(A few verses from Psalm 8)
O Lord, our Lord, how excellent it Thy name in all the earth!
When I consider Thy heavens, the works of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars which Thou hast ordained: what is man that Thou art mindful of him and the son of man that Thou visitest him?
To look out over the countryside surrounding Trefeca gives one a sense of the glory of our God.
To be alone on the hilltops is to experience a quietness and a stillness which gives one a sense of the peace of God.
To spend time at Trefeca within the confines of love and fellowship which are to be found there is to know the companionship of God’s people.
Father God,
we thank you for this place in which we find not only history but the footprints of generations of Christians who have found your peace, your love, your stillness and your glory as they have walked, talked, learned and played within your presence.
We pray for the future of Trefeca that it may continue to answer the needs of future generations of your people and to reach out to those who have yet to find you.
We thank you for those who serve you at Trefeca, in whatever capacity, that they will be sustained by your love and be channels of your grace.
And we pray for all you visit this special place that they may feel that they have been visited by the God who is mindful of them and praise you for your creative power within nature and within their lives.
AMEN
